If You Need Help, Please Ask For It

Problems with Assignments

Just as you are still expected to actively be a student during the school closure, your teachers will still be working as well. So if you are having trouble with something you have been assigned, ask them for help.

The first way you should do that is through the school Gmail. All students have access to it for internal email, meaning they can send mail to and receive mail from @maloneschools.org addresses. You do not need to know your teacher's email address, you just need to know his or her name. Simply start typing the last name in the "To:" line of the email, and a list will pop up. As you keep typing, the list will get smaller, and you can just click on your teacher's name.

If emailing back and forth isn't the best way to help you, the next option is to do a video call with your teacher. We will be continuing to use Google Meet for this in most cases. Email your teacher to set up a time, and they will set it up. You will get an email with the date and time of the meeting, and a link that you will click when it's time. That link will take you right to Google Meet, and you'll just need to click the button to that says "Join meeting." You may also get a pop up that asks you for permission for Google Meet to access your camera and microphone. You need to click "Allow." If you accidentally don't allow it, or find you're having trouble with your camera or mic not working, check out the troubleshooting steps here.
