About MU

Malir University of Science & Technology is an extension of the venture of the Zafar & Atia Foundation Charitable Trust (ZAFC) to provide quality university-level education to the rural community and to the community that has no access to high-level education in their area. MU is a university that believes in equal opportunity for all. It is the first philanthropist university in Pakistan and has been playing its role in providing quality education for all students in a dignified manner. MU also provides Qarz-e-Hasna to all of the students on their tuition fee, which can be cleared by them in any part of their life and they do not get their degrees bound for not returning Qarz-e-Hasna amount.

 The main purpose behind establishing MU is to serve people with limited resources. The university has been established by a group of educationists, doctors, and philanthropists.

Maintain each student’s accurate Academic and Personal data.

Ensure data’s availability to authorities and uphold the university’s policy & procedures in a professional yet friendly environment.


OVERVIEW:

 The Registrar's Office is the backbone of the university and directly reports to the Vice Chancellor and manages staff within the dynamic institution that provides a proficiency-based education in both traditional and online students. The Registrar's Office must create and maintain collaborative working relationships with institutional leadership, faculty, and staff & support university programs and policies established by the federal, and provincial authorities and academic entities. The registrar acts as a central communication resource for academic & policy information related to student records management. 

OBJECTIVES:

Maintenance of the University's database of student course registrations, grades, and academic progression.

Issue notices convening meetings of the authorities of the university, all committees, and sub-committees.

Conduct all official correspondence on behalf of the authorities of the university.
