Session I: Introduction to Digital Library Session
Our Digital Library Session is a unique virtual event designed to introduce you to the incredible world of digital libraries. Session II: Accessing Digital Resources
The session highlighted the collaborative features and sharing capabilities of digital library platforms. Participants learned how to leverage these features to collaborate with peers and share resources. Participants left the session with a greater understanding of accessing digital resources and were better equipped to make optimal use of the available digital library platforms. Participants gained a better understanding of how to navigate these platforms and access relevant digital resources for their research and learning needs
Session III: Maximizing Search Efficiency
The Session revealed the secrets of mastering search engines and online database. It shared strategies to refine your searches and utilize tactics for filtering and sorting results effectively. This session was perfect for anyone looking to optimize their online research skills and harness the power of digital libraries. Continuously assessing and refining the search functionality based on user needs and feedback will lead to an optimal search experience for library users.
Session IV: Evaluating and Citing Sources
This Session was helpful to determine the credibility and reliability through various methods of evaluating sources for research purpose.Furthermore, understanding the importance of proper citation is paramount for maintaining academic integrity and avoiding plagiarism and also shed light on the various citation styles and demonstrate their application in different fields of study.Attendees gained practical insights into discerning accurate and relevant information from a sea of digital resources.
CYBER SECURITY ESSENTIALS : YOUR PATH TO ONLINE SAFETY
In honor of International Education Technology Day on September 23, 2023, the Department of Library at Malir University of Science & Technology is proud to report on the interactive and extremely successful session on Cyber Security Essentials: Your Path to Online Safety. Mr. Syed Azmatullah, CEO of Cybsoft Technologies, our esteemed facilitator, and his amazing staff engaged and taught us on all facets of cyber security.
We spent the session, discussing the intriguing realm of hacking, including the various techniques and types used by online criminals. Mr. Azmatullah and his team's knowledge of these attacks helped us arm ourselves with the knowledge we need to safely navigate the digital environment. They also shed light on the various types of attacks that are risks to our online safety.
