Learning Coach

Enrollment in The Idaho Home Learning Academy (IHLA) has many advantages for learners and their families. One advantage is that your child has a concerned and dedicated Learning Coach available all the time, night or day—you!

Many researchers over the years have asked the question, “What can parents do at home that will help their child be successful at school?” Below are eight modules that provide suggestions about how you can be even more successful as your child’s Learning Coach. Above each video is a link to a summary that can be used as you view the videos.

After viewing all eight modules, you will find a link at the bottom of this page to a quiz covering the materials in the videos. IHLA will receive your quiz scores automatically through the google form application. When you have passed the quiz at 80% or above, IHLA will recognize you as a Certified Learning Coach. You will receive a Certificate of Completion and a Learning Coach identification badge.
