Reading

In Kereru Hub there are two parts to becoming effective at reading.

1. The skills of decoding of words and comprehension (gaining meaning) from a range of texts and media using a range of strategies.

2. Reading to Write: Understanding the impact that writers are trying to achieve when they use language and structural features as well as punctuation. We are developing reading behaviours that allow this to happen. See rubric below.
