I'm Carly, your Makalapa Elementary School Military & Family Life Counselor (MFLC). In addition to supporting your child during the school day, I'm also available to meet with parents/guardians in person. To schedule an appointment, please call (808) 265-0715.

Military OneSource offers a FREE online tool to help military couples communicate, problem solve, and stay connected. OurRelationship is self-paced, flexible, fully virtual, and couples can request help from a coach for extra support. Find out more here.

The Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC) has free, short webinars for parents and educators on a wide variety of topics like organizational skills, procrastination, transition, deployment, study skills, resilience, and much more. Webinars are live, but are also posted to their YouTube channel to be accessed at your convenience. Find out more here.

 Going through a deployment? TDY/TAD? United Through Reading is a GREAT way for kids to stay connected with their service member parent! For more information about this program, click here.

Attention military spouses! The National Military Family Association offers scholarships for military spouses (Active, Reserve, Guard, Retiree, 100% Disabled Veteran, and Fallen Service Member). Scholarship awards can be used for education and professional development. Applications accepted year round. Click here.

If you'd like your child to receive MFLC services, please print and fill out the forms below - your child can submit to their teachers. Or, you can request that a form go home with your child. If you're not sure if you already have a form on file for your child, please contact me at 808-265-0715.
