Student Rep 2024

The student representative on the board of trustees plays a significant role in representing the student body's interests and concerns to the board. They attend board meetings where important decisions about the school are made, such as budgets, policies, and programs.

Their primary responsibility is to ensure that the voices of students are heard and considered in these discussions. They gather feedback from their peers and present it to the board, advocating for changes or improvements that students desire.

Need help buying a chromebook for 2024?

Our school is BYOD which means you should be bringing a device (chromebook or laptop) to school as a requirement to support your learning. We have limited supplies at school so rely on students to bring their own. Via the Uru Mānuka Trust, we have bundle deal available for students.

The app syncs with our school events calendar, and the daily notices that can be checked by parents and students. Maps, term dates, sporting information and newsletters also have their own sections and are simple to access. Parents and students can have up-to-the-minute information regarding achievement, attendance, timetable information and NCEA progress.

Online Learning

Mairehau High School is providing ONLINE learning for ākonga/students, during term time.
This is in addition to on-site classroom based learning, and this means that students who are isolating at home can continue their learning. Visit the online learning page for links and a guide that should be used by all students and whānau whenever they are online learning.
