Curricular Ensembles
Mixed Chorus: Mixed Chorus is for students spanning multiple skill levels (freshmen through senior). In this choir, students develop their understanding of the fundamentals of vocal technique/tone, musicality, music theory, solfeggio, and sightreading. Students will sing a diverse repertoire of choral music.
Concert Choir: Concert Choir is an advanced, treble choral ensemble made up of sophomores through seniors. Students are held to a high standard of performance and are expected to apply requisite choral skills daily. These singers will advance their understanding of music theory and sightreading while also improving their vocal technique/tone. Students can expect to sing a diverse repertoire of choral music spanning multiple languages and cultures.
Chamber Choir: Chamber Choir is Maine West's premiere, curricular, mixed vocal ensemble made up of primarily juniors and seniors. The group sings a wide variety of challenging repertoire spanning multiple languages and genres. Students in this choir are held to the highest standard of performance and are expected to know/apply and build upon the requisite choral skills daily.
Extracurricular Ensemble
The Choraliers: The Choraliers are an auditioned, extracurricular, pop a capella group. Auditions are open to all students enrolled in a music ensemble and occur at the end of the school year. The Choraliers serve as music representatives to the community.
