Who to call if….

You get locked out of your room?

•Find an RA: you may knock on their door, and if it’s oast 7:00 pm, visit the front desk or call the duty phone!

•If it’s during the day, the RAs may be out at training.

• You may visit the RESIDENCE LIFE at 311 of the Memorial Union (207-581-4801) between the hours of 8:00 am -4:30 pm

•If all else fails, call UMPD at 207-581-4040 of if locked out between 1am-8am.

You’re experiencing a medical emergency on camp us?

•Call 207-581-4040 and let UMPD dispatch know. They will send the on-campus ambulance. Calling 911 will go to Penobscot County Dispatch, which will then be rerouted to UMPD dispatch-taking more time. 

You’re feeling homesick or need someone to talk to?

•Seek out an RA. If it’s something more substantial, they can also contact our evening on-call professional staff to check in and determine the best way to help. We can also get you connected to our amazing on-campus Counseling Center. Just remember, you’re not alone! 

•Counseling Center: Students can also reach out to the counseling center themselves at 

207-581-1392, M-F from 8:00am-4:30pm.

You see something suspicious…someone in the hall who shouldn’t be there? Someone doing something they’re not supposed to be doing ?...Or anything that just doesn’t feel right?

•Find an RA and let them know…if an RA isn’t readily available and/or it feelssignificant and time sensitive, contact UMPD at 207-581-4040 right away. Trust your Spidey senses!!!
