ENG 395: Writing Center Internship is a course offered by UMaine that trains you to become a writing center tutor! Through essay writing, study of writing center theory/philosophy, and practice reading and tutoring peers writing, this course gives students the knowledge and preparation to be an effective tutor. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in ENG 395 and highly recommend it any student who has a passion for writing! The prerequisites for this course are ENG 101 and a recommendation from a faculty member, as well as submission of writing samples.
