Completion
Completion as one would guess is the end or the final step of the process. We have determined in the previous steps that we have a solid well researched idea, we have been able to take in the information and combine it with our own viewpoints and make the connections, and we have made sure that out paper follows convention and reads in the way it should to make our point. So having done all this what is left to conclude? Well I for one have the hardest time with this step. By the time I arrive here I am typically happy with my work and to be honest tired of it. I would just as soon move on to something else and the polish here will have most likely faded to a dull excitement.
This is where a paper is won or lost so to speak, this is where we take that now dull paper and put the extra effort into it and make it shine. There are little things that we can add by way of finishing touches that can boost our work up and above. These can include grammar checking, vocabulary and even visual formatting, it’s surprising how much the way a piece of writing can affect how and if it gets read. These are the little things that make a good paper a great one and these are the things that I think we tend to forget or neglect too often, I know I do. The extra time here can really make a difference in any writing that you do.
