Cohesion
I chose to use all wording that began with the letter C as a literary device here in these steps and this continues with the next, cohesion as I have titled this step. Cohesion in the way that what we have decided to pursue as the goal of our writing is addressed by the writing itself, that is to say, is what we are talking about actually addressing the point we are looking to put forth. When this get read will the reader understand what we are saying and will it follow in a cohesive path that takes the reader in the direction we want to guide them.
This step is really a type of super advanced proofreading where the words themselves form the ideas and those ideas are check for fit and finish in the overall context of the paper. This is where we look at the lines of inquiry that we began with and decide whether or not they move the writing in the correct way. We look at the controlling purpose of the essay and determine if it is indeed what we are trying to say. All the way to the end of the paper and the conclusion and whether or not it supports both the prior parts of the essay as well as that it puts the finishing touches on the point we have been pursuing.
