PURCHASING ACCESS TO THIS PLATFORM IS AN ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT OF THE COURSE.

Homework

Homework assignments will be conducted through the Achieve platform. Most weeks, homework is due every Monday by 11:59 PM. (Check the course schedule and/or Achieve for definite due dates.) Due dates for homework will not be extended for any reason, including last minute technical issues, so plan accordingly. There will be five homework assignments. The lowest homework grade will be dropped.

HW assignments are made available 10 days before the due date.

You will have unlimited attempts at each HW problem, however, there is a 5% deduction for each incorrect attempt.

Hints and feedback are provided as you work the assignments.

Quizzes

There will be a quiz through Achieve on every Wednesday (with the exceptions of the first week of the course and the week following the mid-term.) The quiz will be available from 12:01 AM through 11:59 PM. You will have one hour and fifteen minutes to complete the quiz once you begin. Note that you may NOT begin and then come back. Once the clock starts, in continues no matter if you are logged in or not.  Also note that Quizzes may not be taken on alternate days. If you miss a quiz, it will be counted as a zero. There will be five quizzes. The lowest quiz score will be dropped.

You have only one attempt to answer each problem. Hints and feedback are not provided. You are only allowed to use the appropriate resources below under 'Quiz and Exam Resources.'

Mid-Term and Final Exams

The Mid-Term and Final Exams will be comprehensive, each covering all of the material covered to that point in the course.  The Mid-Term will cover material from the first half of the course, while the Final Exam will cover material from the ENTIRE course. For each, there will be a two day window for you to take the exam. The Mid-Term and the Final Exam will be available from 12:01 AM until 11:59 PM the following day. You will have 3 hours to complete the exam once you begin. Note that you may NOT begin and then come back. Once the clock starts, in continues no matter if you are logged in or not. These exams may NOT be taken on alternate days.
