I am a fourth year undergraduate majoring in English with an Analytical writing concentration and a Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies minor. I'm on the path to graduate December of 2019 with hopes to go into the Master of Arts in Teaching, here at UMO. This is my first year tutoring in the Writing Center and I am looking forward to helping students like you. I hope to see you in the Commuter Lounge where I have set up our Satellite tutoring office!
I am the president of the Nontraditional Student Association and the past president of CANS, the Commuter and Nontraditional Student group.
I also have worked with the Commuter and Nontraditional Student Programs department for the past 3.5 years. I love helping students from all walks of life.
For the past 3 years I have done open houses and student orientation sessions for Student Life.
I have lead women empowerment seminars on campus for middle school aged girls as well.
I enjoy volunteering and doing what I can for the numerous students on campus.
I have been award the Linda Bradford Nontraditional Student award in 2018 for my efforts in community service for Nontraditional and Commuter students on campus.
As a mother of 3 children, I love spending time with them on my off days and watching their accomplishments. In my free time I enjoy writing short stories, both fiction and non fiction. I also love going to the cinema and am a huge movie buff, you can catch me at Spotlight at least once a week.
