WOUtechCon is a free, online conference focused on providing practical skills, discussions, presentations, and workshops on ethical, smart technology integration into teaching, learning, and training.

Audience

Anyone (teachers, staff, classroom assistants, administrators, etc.) working in K-18 (i.e. Kindergarten through graduate school) who is interested in improving or expanding their use of technology to support teaching, learning, and training (including professional development) in their current or future workplaces.

Presenters

Individuals with experience using technology to support teaching, learning, and training and who wish to share their takeaways, research, and/or experiences with others. Thus we welcome: K-12 teachers and staff; Community College & University faculty & staff; Instructional Designers; Online Learning Support Staff; Researchers; students with significant online learning experience.

Mission

To promote joyful, intelligent, ethical, and compassionate user- and learner-centered technology in learning and working environments.

Professional

Attend the conference, expand your knowledge, scaffold your existing skills, network with peers, receive certificate recognizing your attendance and participation (for potential Professional Development credits--be sure to check with your school, district, or institution about details).

Educational

Register for 1 credit of 800 level graduate course work. In many school districts, 800 level credits count towards moving up the pay step ladder. Here is a link to more information details.

Want to present?

Hopefully, most presenters will connect their presentations, workshops, and/or roundtable to our theme: Increasing Joy in Online Learning. Most sessions will be 50 minutes long; we are open to presenters interested in running 2 hour, practice-driven workshops!
