Community of Practice

Purpose

Strengthen the skills of regional CCR&R staff so they can support providers from different cultures in an equitable practice, by meeting providers' cultural and language needs. Helping them succeed in Oregon’s Early Learning System by meeting them where they are.

Meeting Schedule

Participation is open to anyone interested in receiving support and resources to aid them in serving the diverse communities present in their region.

This group meets the Third Tuesday of the month, 1:00-2:00pm PST.

Group Norms

Members of the Diverse Community of Practice agree to:

Start and end meetings on time.
Follow a meeting structure and general agenda that will be shared with the members before the meeting begins.
Address issues of access and the challenges of racism and discrimination in our various communities and regions.
Assume positive intent.
Believe the experiences shared by others.
Follow up on previous topics addressed and be accountable.
End the meeting with an action item.

A shared drive of resources and helful links is availalbe to all community of practice particpants. We encourage members to submit their own resources, tools, and links to add to the current library.
