Hi, I am Aigerim Bogyrbayeva, an assistant professor at the department of Computer Science of Suleyman Demirel University  (SDU) in Kaskelen, Kazakhstan working online from San Jose,  CA. 

I received my Ph.D.  degree from University of South Florida, Tampa, USA in the Industrial and Management Systems Enerineering Department under the supervision of Dr. Changhyun Kwon in 2021. I received my B.S. degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA in 2016. 

At the AI Lab at SDU, we conduct research on resolving the challenges faced by emerging transportation technologies through our expertise in reinforcement learning.

Research 

My research focuses on solving combinatorial optimization problems  using reinforcement learning.  In particular, I work on developing novel models and algorithms to route fleet of homogenous or hetergenous vehicles by deploying the power of neural networks. The examples of my research applications include routing a fleet of Electrical Vehicles for urban transportation and routing drone and turck for delivering customer orders.
