Dr. Myron Jones and myself worked on a few projects together; Dr. Jones presented with me at the Annual Sandtray Summit and developed two research projects with me during our collaborative time. We also developed 2 research projects. Unfortunately, Dr. Jones was in a motorcycle accident in Fall of 2022. Myron continues to face severe complications but we remain hopeful for his recovery. I placed this section here to Honor my friend's and colleagues story. He overcame so many challenges in life and continues to fight for his life but he had an explosive personality and a love for Anime. Funny and just a good human being. I miss my friend and often think about all the collaborative work we could have done together.
Dr. Jones my friend, it was my honor to work with you.
Dr. Myron Jones Biography..Myron according to Myron
Dr. Myron Jones has a Ph.D. in Psychology and is an entry level therapist. Dr. Jones initially went into psychology because it was a field, he had always been interested in. Being sheltered as a child, and having an identity crisis throughout his life caused him to want to know how he related to everyone he knew that if he could understand him better, he could actually help others. His study of psychology really helped him to understand his own relationships. It made him a more understanding person. He knew that he could help others as he has been homeless, unemployed, a father, husband, son, brother, manager, employee, frustrated, angry, stagnated, unhappy, stressed, depressed, humiliated, and betrayed. Sandtray therapy was introduced to him by his college professor and significantly helped him to recover from his own traumatic past. In addition, Dr. Jones has been using this modality to treat both adults and children dealing with trauma.
