The Metamorphosis of Nea
Unleashing Her Inner Phoenix, Soaring Beyond Limits
Unleashing Her Inner Phoenix, Soaring Beyond Limits
The story began on April 23, 2005, when Barbara Neanake Ajiesti, the first child in a humble family, came into this world. Little did she know that this was just the genesis of her extraordinary metamorphosis, where challenges transformed into wings and obstacles became stepping stones to heights beyond imagination.
Growing up in a harmonious family with amazing parents, Barbara's curiosity sparked her journey into the world of wonder and learning.
Starting school, Nea blossomed into a cheerful, bright, and humble girl, albeit a bit annoying at times!
Nea thrived as a social butterfly, cherishing friendships and prioritizing joy above everything else.
In High School, Nea joined accelerated classes, discovered her passion for public speaking and IT, and graduated at 17 yo.
In 2020, my journey into the world of scholarships began. It all started with the Beasiswa Mentor Mahasiswa Nasional from Jalur Cerdas, followed by the AI4IMPACT Career Scholarship & Internship Program by Terra AI SIngapore. After completing AI4IMPACT, I was awarded the prestigious TELADAN Scholarship by the Tanoto Foundation. Although I also received scholarship offers from President University and Monash University, I decided to follow a different path.
These experiences have been a blessing and a testament to the power of pursuing opportunities.
I've had the thrill of participating in more than 30 amazing events and becoming an active member of over 10 dynamic organizations, spanning from local gems to nationally recognized platforms at UGM. One of my absolute favorite adventures has been my journey with Meraki Asa, where I dive headfirst into the exciting realms of education and global opportunities. Through these exhilarating experiences, I've had the privilege of learning and growing alongside a diverse and inspiring community of individuals. From TSA to Haloleran and beyond, each organization has played a vital role in shaping my journey and enriching my life with invaluable experiences and friendships.
Navigating UGM's tough IT program has been a challenging but rewarding journey. Despite the complexity of subjects like physics and calculus, I've adapted and achieved academic milestones each semester. I'm also proud to be recognized as The Most Active & Outstanding Student in Organization by ENFORIAN UGM 2023, highlighting my dedication beyond academics.
I've turned my hobbies into thriving ventures, from public speaking gigs to starring in forums and videos as a talent, and even diving into the world of business. These passions not only bring joy but also open doors to new opportunities and growth.
Being TELADAN scholars from Tanoto Foundation felt like holding a golden ticket. The privileges it brought were immense, and I felt truly blessed. I learned about leadership, self-discovery, and expanded my network, opening my eyes to global issues and our role in shaping a better world.
Growing alongside amazing Tanoto Scholars Association peers, I served as the Secretary 2 at TSA UGM 2024, Event Division in Pay It Forward TSA UGM 2024, and social media staff at TSA UGM 2023.
I can't wait for what the future holds as I continue to grow and make a positive impact!
