In 1954, the preparatory committee of the school was set up. Next year, it was formally established. It was named as Taipei Municipal Ta-Li Elementary School. At the very beginning, the students studied in the auditoriums of Lueng-Shan and Shuang-Uan elementary schools. The first principal was Mr. Jin-Zhen Wang.
In February, six classroom were constructed, and the school was moved to the address, where the school is now. At the beginning, double session was implemented. The school was located at one side of the railway. At that time, it was the first school when you crossed over the Dan-Shuei river to enter Taipei City. ck_size"
The second principal, Mr. Fu-Lin Sheng, began to expand and construct the school buildings.
Mr. Ing-Guang Lai took office as the third principal.
Mr. Chan-Zheng took office as the fourth principal.
Mr. Xing-Lin Zhuang took office as the fifth principal.
Mr. Bing-Qing Ian was assigned to the sixth principal.
In early March, receiving the order from Taipei Municipal Bureau of Education, the school was given a new name to "Taipei Municipal Shuang-Uan District Ta-Li Elementary School."
Mr. Huan-Reng Cheng was appointed as the seventh principal.
Mr. Shuei-Mu Zeng was appointed as the eighth principal.
The affiliated kindergarten of Taipei Municipal Ta-Li elementary school was established and enrolled 4 classes of students.
The correction class of Language Disturbance was established.
Mr. Zh-U Cheng was appointed as the ninth principal.
Because of the readjustment of the district, the school was renamed as "Taipei Municipal Uan-Hua District Ta-Li Elementary School.
The first computer room was established.
Mr. Ming-Duo Fan was appointed as the tenth principal.
The second computer room, using 64K leased line, was established in June.
The computer rooms were upgraded to multimedia network ones using ADSL leased line.

In October 2001, voted by the whole school staffs, naming school buildings for the Gong-cheng Building, Ming-duo Building, Qin-pu Building and Dali Building.
In the 90th school year li qin You and other four teachers got Grade 1-9 Curriculum Top Teacher Award by the Ministry of Education.
Due to the spread of SARS, our neighborhood, Hua-Chang Public Housing was shut down for a period of time. Our school got encouragement and compliments from Education Minister Huang and Taipei Education Department Commissioner Wu for our active conducts in the whole event.
Dali teeth brushing team won the first prize in the Taipei Children Teeth Brushing Contest. (It was the 11th win in the successive annual contests.)
In November 2002, the building of new gate was completed. Therefore, the address of our school was changed to No. 389 Bangka Boulevard Wanhua District Taipei City.

Dali held the first National Oral Healthy Month. Mayor Ma came to host the opening activity. In the meantime, we built the Taiwan’s first teat cleaning classroom, and published the teeth cleaning teaching DVD for all the elementary schools in Taiwan.
