The citation system that is required (minimum) at NYTS is Kate L. Turabian’s Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations. All students should obtain a copy of the guide when they enter the seminary. However, there are other formats that may be used, depending upon faculty. Please see below.
Citing your work is more than just making a bibliography! This page is designed to provide you with assistance in citing your sources when writing a paper or dissertation. In addition to citation styles and access to samples, it also contains tools that will save you time, keep you organized, and provide a necessary back-up for the work you've done. They can help you track and organize your citations, so that when you're writing your paper, you can easily cite your sources. Citation managers also help you insert citations, create endnotes and bibliographies.
