Andrea Trasher Award (2)
Andrea Trasher was a beloved elementary school teacher and principal who was an advocate for students with a wide variety of learning styles and needs. She helped many students and families start their journey through the Medfield Public Schools. The Andrea Trasher award, sponsored by SEPAC, is given to 2 students based on an essay describing part of their educational journey. The recipients are chosen by the Medfield High School Scholarship Committee and reflect the qualities we remember in Andrea: kindness, support to others, inclusion and a gentle determination to succeed despite challenges.
SEPAC Award (2)
The SEPAC award recognizes 2 graduating seniors who have demonstrated an interest in helping or advocating for persons with special needs or disabilities. They have demonstrated acts of kindness and community building both in school and out of school for fellow students or community residents who face disability challenges. The award recognizes these students' investment in building relationships over time and their personal connection to helping others.
