We study the biogeochemical processes and interactions between nutrients, contaminants, organic matter and minerals in the environment, while paying special attention to organic matter functionality, redox dynamics and element cycling.

We strive to advance our mechanistic understanding of biogeochemical reactions by investigating their kinetics and thermodynamics at the particle-level.
