Taiko Percussion
Our taiko percussion group was set up in 2014 to serve three goals: (a) to develop as a special feature of the school; (b) to uncover taiko percussion talent and cultivate an artistic atmosphere, and (c) to enable our students to develop their sense of rhythm and discover taiko culture. Our taiko percussion group regularly performs at major events, such as sports events and Parenting and Teaching Day as a major eye (and ear) catcher, and has also starred at the Taoyuan City English Language Contest.
Marching Band
The Hsing-Fu Elementary School Marching Band was established in 2012. Its emblem containing a heart and a trefoil symbolize happy growth. The tiny plant has become the band’s lucky charm and has given rise to its nickname of Lucky Clover Band. The band gives its members and the school at large a sense of belonging and purpose. In 2014 our band had the honor to be the opening act of the 5th Taoyuan Marching Band Cup, setting a record as being the youngest band ever to perform this honor. Their brilliant performance attracted much attention and acclaim.
