History

The school was established in 1945 as the Taipei Municipal Wan-Hua Junior High School, and has undergone three name changes over the years--to the Taipei Municipal Wan-Hua Girls junior high School in 1961, the Taipei Municipal Hua-Jiang Girls Junior High School in 1968, and the Taipei Hua-Jiang High School in 1993.

The school campus takes in 38,610 square meters. We have 49 classes, 1,800 Students and 160 employees.

The teachers are devoted to teaching, caring and meeting students’ individual needs. We teach students the importance of proper behavior, such as being polite, neat and tidy, following rules and showing responsibility.

Students are encouraged to participate in activities outside of their core studies, which helps them to develop their competitiveness. We support such extracurricular activities as baseball and volleyball, fielding teams in both sports teams. We also organize an honor guard and auxiliary health and sign language clubs. Our award-winning pipe band participates in numerous music competitions. And we won the national championship of fine arts for 13 consecutive years.

Over these years, Hua-Jiang has become a top school promoting multidimensional learning in Taipei.
