Jacob is a nine year old third grader, who struggles with keeping his hands to himself, and distracting others during both whole group instruction, small group work, and individual work time. The strategies used to possibly elleviate these behaviors were proximity and redirection. In the presentation below there are detailed explanations of the observed behaviors as well as the strategies implemented. Later in the presentation, the effectiveness of these strategies was discussed and analyzed for the future use for other students.
This presentation explains the student information, observed behaviors, behavior strategies, and anaylysis is further detail. It also offers information that better depicts the possible explanations to this students behavior. Later in the presentation, I include two strategies of behavior management, and whether or not they worked for my student. This experience offers insight into the trial and error of behavior management, as well as giving other educators ideas for their classroom.
