Teacher Contact Information:

Teacher:  Michelle H. Sanbongi-Hayden

Phone calls are not the most efficient way of contacting me.  Please send me an email and I can always set up at time we can talk over the phone or in person.

What to do when you are struggling in the class?

ASK QUESTIONS! Ask as many questions as you want or need. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Students who don't ask questions are the ones who struggle the most.

What should parents/guardians do when your child is struggling in the class?

Please encourage your child to ask questions during class.  Please encourage your child to come and talk to me about their struggles with the class.

Please contact me via first. Don't wait to send me an email. The minute you are concerned or see something that you think I should know at home, please contact me. I'm happy to set up a parent/guardian meeting if you are concerned about your child's progress.

I something on Twitter and I thought it was really fitting for this year. I have added some of my own twists to it, but most of this came from a tweet I saw.

How to be Okay:

In case you hadn't noticed, there is a global pandemic. None of us are really okay. If you tell me you're having trouble, I'm not going to judge you or think less of you. I hope you'll extend me the same grace.

So, let's lay out some ground rules:

You never owe me personal information about yourself. However, you are always welcome to talk to me about things that you're going through. If I can't help you, I usually know somebody who can.  If you need extra help, or you need to miss class, or you need more time with something, just ask. I'll work with you. Promise. Together we will make it through this year and through this stressful time in our lives. If there's anything you need, please let me know. Just know that I'm here for you.
