About Me:
Amber Esquivel is the Outreach Counselor - Native American Initiative under the department of Outreach and Special Programs (OSP) at Fresno State.
She is an alum of Fresno State, and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies plus a Master's degree in School Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services credential. Amber has been working and serving Native American students since 2015. She worked as a student ambassador with Undergraduate Student Recruitment (USR), as a Graduate Student Assistant with OSP, and has been instrumental in planning the Native American Youth Conference and advising and recruiting Native American students the past two years.
Amber is a member of the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians and Secretary of the Education Committee advocating for tribal members. She has a passion for assisting and helping students and enjoys providing opportunities for all people in the Native American community while encouraging them to prepare and pursue a college education. In her free time she likes to hang out with family and friends, bead a new pair of earrings, catching up on some reading, and watching the newest movies on Netflix.
