I was born and raised in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. As a child, I loved school and had a passion for music and reading. Following high school, I attended John Carroll University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in psychology. I moved to Northern Virginia right after graduation and began my teaching career in Manassas Park City Schools. There I taught third grade, k-3 science, and ESOL. Along the way, I earned my ESOL endorsement as well as a Master of Arts degree from George Mason University. At the end of the 2020 school year, a teaching position in Manassas City Schools offered me the opportunity to grow and be challenged. I obtained the position and have taught fifth and sixth grade ESOL for the last three years at Mayfield Intermediate School. While working at Mayfield, I enrolled in graduate school at Fort Hays State University to earn a Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology and plan to graduate in August of 2023. I’m a wife and mother of three. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, off-roading in my Wrangler, and spending time with friends. I also enjoy reading novels and watching award-winning movies and TV.
