I am a first year student studying Geology
What made you choose FHSU?
I joined FHSU to begin my journey toward a career in paleontology. The strong geology program and flexible online options make it a great fit for me.
What do you hope to achieve with your degree after graduation?
My goal is to become a paleontologist and work in the field, researching fossils and Earth’s history.
What is your favorite part about online learning?
I like being able to learn at my own pace and balance coursework with everyday life.
Is there a particular course or project you have enjoyed?
I haven’t done any major projects yet, but I’m excited to dive deeper into geology labs and fieldwork in the future.
What has been one of your biggest challenges when it comes to online learning and what have you done to overcome it?
Staying motivated can be tough, but setting a schedule and using reminders helps me stay on track.
What strategies have you used to connect with instructors and classmates?
I participate in discussion boards and email my professors when I have questions, which keeps me connected.
Are you a part of any organizations/clubs?
I haven’t joined any clubs or events yet, but I’m interested in exploring opportunities as I settle in.
What is your favorite book and why?
I don’t have one single favorite book, but I really enjoy reading manga because of the variety of stories and art styles, it’s a fun way to relax and get inspired.
Anything else you would like to share?
I’m excited to start this path and see where it leads in the world of paleontology.

What are you studying?
I am an online international student majoring in Psychology. I was always intrigued by the human mind and being able to help people struggling with mental disorders.
What made you choose FHSU?
As someone who works and studies, I was looking for a university that offered high-quality, online degree programs, and I found FHSU.
What do you hope to achieve with your degree after graduation?
I am planning to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology directly after getting my bachelor's degree.
How did you find out about OSGA?
After about a year of studying at FHSU, one of my professors encouraged me to join OSGA. Learning about OSGA truly inspired me to be part of this community, as it brought forth opportunities to help enhance the experience of online students.
What do you like about being a part of OSGA?
Being part of OSGA's Student Relations Committee makes me feel truly connected to FHSU as an online student. Many online students feel distant and isolated, and addressing these problems makes not only me more connected, but also every online student.

What are you studying?
I am a Junior at FHSU with a Bachelor's in Scinece in Criminal Justice along with a psychology major. Alongside that, I am on the road to recieve a Victim Advocacy Certification and a Paralegal Certification.
What made you choose FHSU?
Because I know at any point in time, if necessary, I could go up to Hays and be accepted on campus. I also chose FHSU for its wonderful Catholic Community. #CatholicTigers
What do you hope to achieve with your degree after graduation?
I aspire to be a Victim Advocate one day. I plan on getting my Masters in School Counseling as well.
What is your favorite part about online learning?
I like learning online because I am able to work at my own pace while also being aware of deadlines and due dates.
Is there a particular course or project you have enjoyed?
One assignment i particularly enjoyed was my mock crime scene project. While it was tedious, it was a lot of fun. It was in my Technical and Report Writing in Criminal Justice class.
What has been one of your biggest challenges when it comes to online learning and what have you done to overcome it?
Some of my biggest challenges while having online classes was working full time. Its a lot of work and it takes a toll but I want to be done with school as soon as I can be.
What strategies have you used to connect with instructors and classmates?
I am a part of the psychology honors club and the Catholic Tigers while being online. I connect with my instructors and classmates by being real. Even though we are online, we are all human. Being honest with one another goes a long way. The professors I have had have been nothing but understanding and kind. They critic in hopes of their students getting better. They never cease to tell you that you are doing a good job if you are open with them. Ask for help! They are willing to give it!
What is your favorite book and why?
My favorite book would have to be anything Stephen King Related. I am a horror lover.
