Learning Outcomes

• Students will research ocean flora and fauna to identify unique marine organisms and their adaptations.

• Students will obtain, evaluate, and communicate information about the importance of estuaries.

• Students will explore SCUBA diving equipment and how it is used in underwater research, maintaining animal habitats, and caring for animals.

• Students will apply information learned about coral reefs to assess a coral transect and identify evidence of coral bleaching.

• Students will explore additional ocean habitats and conservation efforts by scientists and researchers.
