In Their E-Commerce Era: How Generation Z is Interacting with TikTok Shop

A scholarly literature review is provided to answer what is already known about e-commerce platforms. This website walks its readers through the entire process of this research, from the literature review, proposal, methodology, key findings, and a conclusion to identify future research.
The study consists of eight interviews, answering the questions of which driving forces are directing Generation Z to make purchases from TikTok Shop, as well as their interactions with small businesses on the platform. The eight participants were required to have made at least one purchase from TikTok Shop. The results explore three major themes including: the necessity for reliability, the importance of word of mouth advertising, and shoppers using TikTok Shop as a fallback option. A comprehensive discussion is provided to analyze the meanings of the research collected from each interviewee.
