High school is the final transition into adulthood and the world of work as students begin separating from parents and exploring and defining their independence. Students are deciding who they are, what they do well, and what they will do when they graduate. Galileo's counseling program seeks to provide students with a supportive environment in which they can cultivate the tools for personal growth. These include assisting with problem-solving and decision-making skills, as well as developing self-esteem and self-worth. The counseling program also seeks to enable students to value themselves as individuals, and to explore the opportunities around them, both within the Galileo community and beyond. The goal is to assist students, parents, and teachers with what they need to facilitate the academic journey to graduation.
