The Adelante Program’s mission is to support Latinx and low-income students at California State University, Chico on their undergraduate academic journeys and prepare them for graduate and other post-college opportunities.
Adelante is Spanish for "Onward, Ahead, Forward!" The Adelante Postbaccalaureate Pipeline Program is funded by a five-year, $2.9 million grant (Title V “Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions”) from the Department of Education.
Chico State Project Rebound is a student success program that supports current and future Chico State students who have been incarcerated in a prison, jail, immigration detention center, or juvenile detention center. We provide multiple supports for our students such as mentoring, advising, social support, academic support, and basic needs support.
Our Project Rebound, like all Project Rebound programs, focuses on 5 key service objectives:
Fostering a college-going culture among and building recruitment pathways for currently and formerly incarcerated people.
Helping prospective students prepare for, apply to, and enroll in college.
Supporting enrolled students to persist, graduate, and pursue career options.
Supporting enrolled students to participate in student life and leadership, community service, and civic engagement.
Establishing and fostering empowering networks among Project Rebound alumni and students.
The Veterans Education and Transition Services (VETS) office processes all enrollment certification requests for Veteran (Federal/State) education benefits. Our office provides students the necessary information to maximize their benefits. The VETS office acts as a liaison for all military-connected students. Our office communicates directly with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) on the students behalf. Our office is honored to support Veterans and their dependents transition to the university.
The Chico State VETS office proudly provides the following services:
Enrollment Certification Requests (Federal/ State)
Student VETS Center (Computer Lab/ Lounge)
Student Veteran Organization (SVO)
VA Work-Study positions on-campus
Continuing Student (Priority) Registration
Veteran Specific Orientation
