This depends on how many credits you already have and the time you have available to take our classes.

No, it is not mandatory. Most of a TRST course content will be available in CANVAS and/or will be provided by the instructor.

7. When I have completed my credits, how to I proceed to get my diploma?

In your last semester, one month before the end of the semester, you will complete a form where your instructors will indicate that most likely you will pass your classes.  You will send the form to Julita McNichol at her email jmcnicho@ccsf.edu. Our staff will complete the requests forms, and you will sign the first page of the Diploma Request Form.  At the end of the semester, Ms. McNichol will send the paper work to NonCredit Admissions and Records, and once processed, they will contact you to pick up your diploma. 


8.  What about the GED tests and classes for the GED test?  

     City College no longer gives the GED Tests.  Go to this page to learn where you can go for information on taking
      the GED tests.   We do not have specific classes for GED test prep but do have classes in math, reading,
      grammar, science and social sciences that might help you to practice the skills you need to pass the test.
