Hello! Thank you for stopping by to check out my CCSF instructor profile.

I'm excited to let you know that for the Fall 2024 semester, I am teaching a Hybrid Design Fundamentals

The course is cross-listed in the course catalog as 2 different sections: VMD 101, PHOT 100 Don't worry; It’s the same class, and we meet at the same time!

If you want to find out more about the Design Fundamentals course, you can go to my Course Information page. For instructions on how to add or waitlist a class, or find support at CCSF, head over to More Resources.

A little bit about meI first discoverd my love of design working on layouts and creating cartoons for the daily newspaper when I was an undergraduate at Brown University. Then, after receiving my Master of Architecture degree from UC Berkeley. I worked in the field for a decade before taking an Adjunct Lecturer position at CCSF in the Visual Media Design, Photography, and Interdisciplinary Studies Departments in 2000.

My instructional pedagogy focuses on collaborative strategies and approaches as a foundation for strong, thoughtful design.

If you have any questions about current or future courses, please feel free to contact me.

I hope to see you in one of my classes soon!

Amy
