Human Sexuality is a course which includes the study of anatomy and physiology as well as psychological/sociological aspects of human sexual behavior.
The course will focus on anatomy and physiology, along with issues of growth and development, relationships and sexual behavior and sexual response. An overview of pertinent historical and cultural contexts will provide a solid foundation as it relates to the expression and understanding of sexuality. Sexual orientation, sexually transmitted diseases, birth control methods and sexual dysfunction are also key elements in this course.
Readings, online activities, quizzes, and discussions will touch on contemporary research, modern medical and sexological understanding, and psychological insights into human sexual experience and behavior. Topics surveyed include sexual and psychosexual development, sexual health and disease, romantic and aromantic love and sexual desire, sexual variations, sexual dysfunction and therapy.
If you decide to discontinue this course, it is your responsibility to officially drop it to avoid getting no refund, a W symbol, or a grade. I am happy to add students into this course up to two weeks into the semester and I use the waitlist to do so if the class is full.
I may drop a student if that student does not submit the first two assignments by August 24th. or if a student does not submit assignments for a week after the first week of class.
Day Class Begins: 08/16/2021
