For current course offerings and for information on how to register for classes visit the CCSF Registration page.
Before the first day of instruction: If enrollment is full then you can elect to be added to a waitlist. If space opens up in the course (i.e. if an enrolled student drops) then waitlisted students are given an opportunity to enroll in the course with a notification to their @mail.ccsf.edu email address. This opportunity is only open for 24 hours and if you don't act on it, you are removed from the waitlist and the next student is given the opportunity.
After the first day of instruction: If you are interested in enrolling in the class you must come to a class meeting and Submit a Class Add Request in your RAMID Portal. I will authorize add requests based on waitlist priority and in-person confirmation that you are still interested in enrolling. Note that if your Add Request is authorized, you will receive a notification email and have only 24 hours to officially enroll in the class through your myRAM portal. After that, I will offer your spot to the next student. I will authorize adding students if space opens up in the class (i.e. if an enrolled student drops the course). I will continue to add students until the deadline to drop classes without a refund.
After the first week of the semester, no shows (students who have not attended nor submitted any assignments) will be dropped from the course.
In the CCSF fall 2026 semester this class meets from 9:40 - 10:55 am on Mondays and Wednesdays in Batmale 203 on the Ocean Campus. Attendance at in person meetings is required.
First Class Meeting: August 19
Last Class Meeting: December 14
Take-Home Final Exam Due: December 18
A History of Designed Interiors is disseminated via the Open Education Resource (OER) LibreTexts Project and like the thousands of other texts available within this powerful platform, it is freely available for reading, printing, and "consuming." It can fully read online and downloaded in PDF version for reading offline. The text is also available printed and shipped at a low-cost from the LibreTexts website.

Additionally, select readings will come through platforms available at no cost through the CCSF library and require you to sign in with your RamID.
