Psyc 1 General Psychology

A scientific approach to the study of behavior and mental processes designed for both majors and non-majors. Topics include: research methods, biology of behavior, sensory systems, learning, memory, life-span development, motivation, emotion, personality theories, social psychology, abnormal psychology, and psychotherapy.

SOC 12, Social Work Practicum Fall 2023
This course offers the student supervised field experience in community organization, agency, or institution, allowing the student to apply knowledge and learn skills outside of the classroom. Weekly class meetings add academics to this experiential course and reinforces the application of concepts gained in Soc 11. This course is designed to provide opportunities to develop skills to gain employment in the field. Three (3) units of credit is earned for 180 hours of unpaid or 225 hours of paid work.
