Independent Study: Philippine Studies

Independent Study allows individual students to explore academic interests in Philippine Studies through guided research projects. Students are required to either write a research paper or give a presentation on their work. 

Degree applicable and CSU Transferable upon review. 

This course meets requirements for the following degrees: Filipino Language Certificate of Accomplishment. This is an elective course for the Associates of Arts Degree in Philippine Studies and the Certificate of Achievement in Philippine Studies.

There are no required class meetings for this course. Students are expected to meet with the instructor 3x during the semester to discuss the progress of their project.  Students who do not meet with the instructor in the first two weeks of the semester will be dropped.
