General Biology
Course Information
5 units, Lec-52.5 hours, Lab-105 hours
PREREQUISITE: CHEM 101A
A general introduction to cell structure and function, cell biochemistry, cell cycle, principles of molecular and organismal genetics, genetic engineering, and animal form and function. Intended for students majoring in the biological sciences, but open to all qualified students.
This course meets the UC and CSU general education requirement in biological/life sciences and, together with BIO 100B, meets the transfer major requirements for UC and CSU. It is also required for both the AS and AS-T in biology at CCSF.

ADDS/DROPS
During the registration period, students will be added from the official waitlist as space becomes available. Once the waitlist is exhausted and/or inactivated, then ADD CODES will be offered as space permits. Visit MyRAM (Web4) and submit an ADD CODE REQUEST. The instructor may approve or deny requests according to space available. All ADDS must be processed in the normal ADD period (i.e., no late ADDS).
