Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
Describe the meaning of 180 single characters belonging to the four types of kanji and apply that knowledge to the meaning of compound characters.
Distinguish either on-yomi (Chinese origin reading) or kun-yomi (Japanese origin reading) based on the context and compounds.
Identify the components of kanji: basc radicals (meaning elements of kanji) and phonetic elements of kanji.
Compose paragraphs using kanji characters which follow stroke order rules.
