I will add students if there is room in the course within the first week. Please email me at jcustodio@ccsf.edu if you are having trouble with the add instructions below. Using the myRAM Portal Online Registration, go to Add/Drop Classes and attempt to register for the class. If the class is closed and there is room on the waitlist, you may add yourself to the waitlist.
To move on to the waitlist for a class instructions:
Log onto myRAM Portal
Select Student Portal
Select Student Registration
Once you have arrived at the scheduler, select the appropriate term and course status. Also make sure your Course Status filter is changed to Open Classes & Full Classes W/Open Waitlist
Select the Add Course option
Use the scheduler to find and add courses. You will then press Generate Schedule and View Possible Schedules to see all created schedules.
Add your courses to your Saved Schedule and press the Register button.
If the course has an open waitlist, you will be prompted to add yourself to the waitlist.
Once you have been added to the Waitlist, look at your Current Schedule. The "Status" column will say "Waitlist" along with other course information.
In an online class, attendance = participation. Simply logging in to the course does not count as attendance or participation. If you do not engage in the first week of class and complete the first module by the due dates, or subsequently if you have not completed/submitted any work for more than one week, without communicating in advance, you may be dropped from the course. Students who do not log in to an online class after the second week and participate in a learning activity will be dropped from the class. It is strongly advised that if you need to miss more than one class/homework deadline in a row that you contact me to avoid being dropped from the class.
If you decide to discontinue this course, it is your responsibility to officially drop it to avoid getting no refund (after 10% of course length), a W symbol (after 20%), or a grade (after 60%). Also, for several consecutive, unexplained absences, the instructor may drop a student.
