During the Fall 2024 academic term, the OERI Friday Forums will be held from 10:30 am – 11:30 am on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month. OERI Friday Forums are intended for a diverse audience. Please share with your colleagues. We hope you all will join us!

Easier Strategies for Finding and Evaluating Open Educational Resource (OER) Materials - With and Without Generative AI
One of the biggest barriers to OER adoption, especially in disciplines with a wealth of OER textbooks, is the labor involved in identifying which materials best match our pedagogical approach. Generative-AI augmented search platforms like Perplexity can help when we tell them to draw on sites like LibreTexts. So can knowing which OER discovery platforms are easy to navigate and how to use Google search and chatbots to get the most out of faculty reviews of OER. Join us to hear some practical tips and share your own.
