This course will teach you how to solve equations by using the properties of equality, solve inequalities by using the properties of inequality, identify a linear equation and solve for a given variable, identify a quadratic equation and provide a solution set, and plot and draw the graph of a line given by any linear equation.
This course prepares students for the GED Mathematical Reasoning test, TASC or HiSET Math test, and/or credit math courses. Topics include quantitative reasoning with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents, and related word problems; data measurement and analysis; an introduction to algebraic reasoning; and geometric measurement.
