Textbooks
Shakespeare. Othello (Folger edition; if you use another edition, make sure that it has line numbers or else you'll have a harder time citing). This one is optional, as I will also link to an online open source. But. This edition (which is super cheap) will tell you what some of the Shakespearean words mean and give you an overview of each scene. Also, personally, I have an easier time reading printed copies. So you might want to get the book.
Erdrich. The Roundhouse This one is required.
Other materials will be posted on Canvas

Attendance/Dropping the Class
I want you to successfully complete this course! That begins the first week.
An 6 week session course is particularly fast-paced, the same amount of work as a regular semester, but in less than half the time, so if you do not log in and complete assignments within the first two days, I will withdraw you from the course.
During the semester, if I notice that you have not logged in or have not turned in assignments for over a week, I will contact you to see how I can support you. If I do not hear back from you, I may withdraw you; this is to help keep you from ending up with a failing grade and to make sure that other students are not ending up in discussion groups with members who do not participate.
