Real Estate Principles

Book: California Real Estate Principles 16th Edition, Walt Huber

RE 181 is a 3 unit credit class. The fundamental real estate course covers the concepts, laws and principles of California real estate. It is designed to assist those preparing for the California state licensing examination. The class is also an excellent resource for consumers interested in learning about real estate before making a purchase. Upon completing the class, the student will have a good foundation of the following student learning outcomes:

  1. Define key concepts in real estate theory.

  2. Demonstrate knowledge of California real estate contracts, disclosures, and procedures.

  3. Describe important principles and how applied in the practice of real estate in California.

  4. Identify legal, economic, and professional guidelines in real estate transactions.

  5. Identify key elements that influence the outcome of real estate transactions.

  6. Explain the laws of agency.
