The Rising Black Designers Scholarship + Design Challenge awards underrepresented Black students, enrolled in U.S. not-for-profit architecture programs, with academic tuition scholarships, micro-scholarships for books and materials, and opportunities for summer internships. Scholarships available amount to $60,000.

The Brinkmann Scholarship was established as a memorial to Don Brinkmann, an inspirational and gifted interior designer who personified the essence of design, vision, and leadership. In this spirit, the Brinkmann Scholarship awards students enrolled in U.S. not-for-profit interior design programs with academic scholarships and opportunities for summer internships.

Architectural Associate I - Building Inspection & Code Enforcement (BICE - 5265) - SFO
Part-Time
Qualifications
Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Architecture or an architecture related field such as Environmental Design or Interior Architecture, or a professional degree in Architecture (Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture) from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the architectural field including architectural design, architectural detailing, construction documents, programming, preliminary cost budgeting, specification coordination and review, construction administration, and field observation of architectural construction projects, all under the direction of a licensed architect. One (1) year must have been served as a job captain, project lead, or in some role of increased responsibility and supervision on a project. (Experience in a lower-level class (i.e., 5260 or 5261) is considered qualifying.)
License and Certification: Possession of a valid California driver’s license.

CAD Drafting/Design Work (Mathau/Roche Design Group) - on call
They want to find someone who can do some CAD drafting and some design work, [minor but able to follow directions and solve problems independently].
On call basis when they need the help, about 10 to 15 hours a week as needed. There is no need for formalities but send a resume and examples of work, not necessarily design work but some construction drawings work would help. They are still working from home, but it would be good to have someone local so you can meet when needed.
