Establish CCSF Allied Health VR Studio at John Adams Campus
Equip space to bring modern teaching and learning approaches through XR technologies
Support and encourage innovation in teaching and learning and professional development opportunities
Partner with industry to meet workforce demands
Address equity through understanding data, engaging students, and exploring new opportunities for student success

Definitions
XR: Extended reality, a general term referring to immersive tech
AR: Augmented reality - the user sees some computer-generated objects in a real environment
VR: Virtual reality - the user sees an entirely virtual environment
MR: Mixed reality - Microsoft-coined term, blend of physical and virtual worlds with both real and computer-generated objects
HTC Vive (rhymes with Hive) - Located in San Francisco, partnering with CCSF on VR projects
VR/AR Association - CCSF is a member of the SF Chapter and will receive benefits like events, connections to industry internships, and on-campus speakers.
