Local scholarships available for BFHS seniors are listed below. There are also hard copies available in the South Hallway and counseling office. Please come see us if you have questions!

Second application period for Idaho Launch is open now. Get up to $8,000 dollars from the state for education and training for in demand careers!

Local Scholarships...

Due February 23rd:

The Heartflite ALC Services, Inc 2024 Scholarship - $1000 for a student pursuing a medical field


The Dave Kludt ALC Natural Resource 2024 Scholarship - $1000 for a student pursuing training or degree in the natural resources fields


Due March 1st:

Alta Forest Products Skilled Trade and Forestry Scholarship - $1000 toward schooling, tools, and educational expenses.

NIHE 2024 Scholarship - Please see your counselor for details on how to receive $750 towards North Idaho College, University of Idaho, Lewis-Clark State College, Idaho State University, or Boise State University (three awards available.)

Rotary Scholarship - The Rotary Scholarship is offered to any deserving student attending Boundary County schools or any resident of Boundary County pursuing a higher education at any accredited college, university or vocation school.


Due APRIL 12th:

Forget Me Not - $500 towards a college of your choice.

Naples Helping Hands Scholarship - Please see counseling office for application. $500 towards a college of your choice.

P.E.O. Chapter AP and Mary Hays Scholarships- Up to $1000 towards education, multiple awards available.


Due APRIL 13th:

Writing Scholarship - $1000 towards a college of your choice.


Due APRIL 15th:

Don Johnson Memorial Scholarship - One scholarship of $1000.00 will be awarded.

Idaho State Grange Scholarship Foundation 2024 Scholarship Application - Must be related to, recommended by, or a member oneself.


Due APRIL 19th:

Thomason Foundation Scholarship - Vocational, CTE, College, and University bound, BFHS Grads apply.


Due APRIL 27th:

Beta Sigma Phi Scholarship - $800 for post-secondary education.


Due APRIL 30th:

Rob Gust-CJ Erickson Skool Scholarship - $1,500 for post-secondary education. For students who have participated in sports. There are 2 awards available!

Roberta Thompson Workforce Training Scholarship - For students planning to take courses at the NIC Workforce Training Center or Anvil Welding in Spokane. Up to $8,000 available. 


Due MAY 1st:

South Boundary Firefighter's Association Education Scholarship - $1,000 for post-secondary education, must be a Boundary County Resident. -Application

Due MAY 4th:

Boundary County Education Association Scholarship - $500 for students planning to enter a career in education or dependents of BCEA members.

Class of 1951 Scholarship - $1,000 for post-secondary education, preference for trade or vocational school. Multiple awards available!

Class of 1970 Scholarship - $1,000 for post-secondary education. Multiple awards available!

June Anderson Scholarship - $250 for post-secondary education. Multiple awards available!

Stella Woodworth Brochu Scholarship - $1,000 for post-secondary education. Multiple awards available!


Due MAY 6th:

Boundary County Artists Association Scholarship - $500 award for students who submit original pieces of artwork.

Northern Lights Opportunity Letter

Northern Lights Educational Scholarships - Eight $1500 awards toward educational expenses.

Northern Lights Lineworker School Scholarship - One $3000 award.


Due March 31st:

P1FCU Scholarship - $1000, 15 awards available


Due April 8th:

Festival at Sandpoint Scholarships - for students pursuing music and the arts 


Due April 11th:

American Legion Post # 55 Scholarship - One $1000 award.


Due April 15th:

Don Johnson Memorial Scholarship  - $1500 award.

Idaho Grange Scholarship - $1000 award.


Careers That Work! Scholarship - $500-$1000 award to students applying to certain cosmetology or massage programs. Please see your high school counselor to cooperatively complete this application.
